This grade 11 listed house has been fully restored to a high standard throughout, maintaining the charm and character of the original building whilst complemented by tasteful furnishings and décor. It is the perfect place to amble around its cobbled streets where there are an interesting array of shops, galleries and tea shops. Famed for its 11th-century castle which sits proudly on the skyline and provides a lovely walk whether around the ramparts or riverside. You can walk from one side of this historic town to the other and take in the sights. The last train left Richmond station in 1969 but in recent years the station has been brought back to life and is now a bustling centre hosting art and craft exhibitions, a three-screen cinema, café, jewellery shop, an award-winning bakery/delicatessen, micro-brewery and an ice cream parlour. On the same site there is an indoor swimming pool and health club. The Coast-to-Coast walk passes by the station and through Swaledale. Richmond is a market town filled with possibilities, whether spending a few days taking in the culture and the social side or using it as a base to explore the glorious Yorkshire Dales.
