A good sized two bed cottage with a cafe, shop, and small beach within walking distance. Great for exploring the Weymouth and Portland area.

We enjoyed our stay at Anchor cottage which is ideally suited for walking in the area. Unfortunately, the pub advertised nearby was no longer open.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us, thank you for informing us the local pub has closed down, we have now amended our property description. The closest pub is now the Smugglers Inn which is 0.7 miles from the cottage.

Lovely stay in this cottage, shame about the weather meaning we couldn't enjoy the local beaches and surroundings as much as we'd have liked but everything we needed was there to make us comfortable for the week... and frustration was a big hit with our 3 year old daughter!

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Many thanks for your comments - we are sorry the weather was against you. We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future with better weather!

The cottage was well equipped for our needs, although the pull cord for the shower was out of reach unless we stood on a chair (designed for tall people?) Very noisy neighbours of the feathered, (gull), variety. Lots of lovely places to visit in the area and an excellent local bus service.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are pleased you found everything you needed in our cottage. We will certainly take a look at the shower pull cord, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

When we arrived and entered the cottage we were pleasantly surprised as everywhere was extremely clean and smelt very fresh. Cottage equipped with all the appliances and everything you could need for a cottage holiday. Setting was lovely with views over to Portland and beyond. Would recommend to friends and family
