Clean, comfortable, well-equipped house in a quiet street with a nice big garden. Convenient for walking and cycling in Kielder Forest, although some of the trails are still closed after the damage caused by the storms in February. The village pub serves good beer and decent food, and there is a street food diner at the castle. The only shop in the village is at the filling station stocking a few essentials, although it is not far to a chalet site that has a bigger one. Nice touches include a welcome pack, a well-stocked bird-feeder, a barbecue and deck chairs. Overall an excellent holiday rental.
