At the end of a long lane, once a popular route for smugglers travelling for from Trebarwith to the Jamaica Inn, Sarah’s Cottage is a delightful retreat, tucked away in a countryside setting alongside another of the owner’s beautiful cottages.
As you enter the property with it’s white stone walls, it immediately opens into an open plan living room, dining area and well equipped kitchen. With many of it’s original features retrained, including an impressive granite stone fireplace which houses a warming wood burning stove, exposed beams, thick walls and deep window recesses, all instantly showcase the wealth of character this cottage has.
The ground floor also has a family bathroom, with bath and hand held shower attachment, great for a long, relaxing soak in at the end of the day. Venture upstairs and you will discover two bedrooms, one with double bed, the second a twin room, both with beams above and ideal for a peaceful night’s rest. With oodles of character and an abundance of charm, this cottage is a sheer delight. Outside is a patio area with garden seating, which then opens onto a large shared natural lawned area with plenty of opportunities for bird watching and wildlife spotting. Inside the courtyard is a useful shared laundry room with washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer.
Close by, the gateway to Bodmin Moor can be explored, with unrivalled views, incredible Tors and ancient stone circles. With walking and cycle routes aplenty, this atmospheric place is a contrast to the wonderful beaches, golden with blue, green and turquoise waters found on the north Cornwall Coastline. Here coves, caves, rockpools and inlets are yours to enjoy. Port Isaac, famed for being the fictional home of ‘Doc Martin’, has so much to offer, with beautiful views and superb restaurants and pubs. Boscastle has a beauty all of its enchanting harbour, whilst Tintagel, the home of King Arthur has a castle and modern walkway reaching out above the crashing surf below. With the beaches at Bude favourites with both families and water sport enthusiasts there is a never ending choice of days out to savour. Beach 6 miles.
