Enjoy sea views and a delightful terraced garden giving great views across the town and Cardigan Bay. Today, the town is the jewel of Cardigan Bay, priding itself in lively festivals, exhibitions, events and sporting tournaments. There is plenty of shopping, an array of cafés and renowned restaurants to suit all tastes. Many wonderful cycle routes and walks are available, both coastal and inland, including the route that leads to the National Trust property of Llanerchaeron, a rare example of an 18th-century Welsh gentry estate. With the Heritage Coastline of Ceredigion stretching out in front of you, there are a myriad of places to visit such as quaint New Quay, famous for its bottlenose dolphins, the pretty seaside village of Llangrannog, and the larger university town and resort of Aberystwyth. There are attractions within easy driving distance such as the Rheidol Steam Railway, Devil’s Bridge, Cilgerran Castle, the Dolaucothi Gold Mines and the Cenarth Falls. After a day exploring the wonderful sights, what better way to relax than to chill out around the appealing harbour, watching the spectacular sunset over Cardigan Bay and enjoying some local Welsh honey ice cream. We stayed in this cottages 3 years ago, and we feel the standard of cleanliness has deffenately gone down, for example cobwebs in most rooms, we had issues with flies as bins hadn't been emptied. dust on equipment.

Cobwebs in house , rear of property not shown properly on details but outside toilet area needs attention. The back entrance to property has a rusty bike and dead branch cuttings in it so dustbin removal via back gate was difficult. Front slate area still had decorating stand . No freezer section in fridge. Back garden hasn't been gardened for a while and hedges and weeds need attending to. The seating area at the top of the garden was full of debree and had to clean off chairs and table from Autumn leaves and twigs. Also house could do with another internal toilet. House was also up for sale with for sale sign in upstairs from window.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. The back entrance is an access only through the next door neighbour’s side gate of which we have no control over their land. You then come through a gate into our back garden. There is a full sized freezer in the utility room with a washing machine/dryer and sink area. The garden has now been dealt with. The gardener visits once a month.

Had a lovely time in Aberaeron - perfect location. House on busy road with no double glazing so noisier than we'd expected. House lovely but for easily fixed irritating niggles like front door doesn't shut unless you lock it, thermostats in radiators don't work, wasn't explained how to use hot water so had cold showers on first day. House well equipped, beds comfortable. Owner contacted us direct to arrange house viewing and I had to clarify with cottage company as no reply to my email saying we'd prefer not. Dog friendly but garden not enclosed - ok but would be good to know when booking.
