Welcome to Admiral House, part of Frank James Court, a converted Grade ll listed former hospital originally built in 1893 as a home for the retired seamen. A lot of the original features have been restored by the current owners with a touch of modern facilities. As you enter this property you are greeted with a large hallway with space to relax, into the living/dining room with a large bay window and views across the common land. The kitchen is overlooking the front gardens with large opening windows, and also has a breakfast table. A downstairs toilet is located under the stairs. On the ground floor is a bedroom with a kingsize bed, while upstairs are a further 2 bedrooms, one with super kingsize bed, and one with a kingsize bed. The family bathroom is located on the first floor. Outside, guests have use of the communal grounds but being so close to East Cowes harbour, you will want to explore as soon as you arrive.East Cowes is a 5-minute walk from the property where there are many local shops, pubs and a restaurant. There really is something for everyone. For the walkers and cyclist among us there are miles of coastland and inland walks to enjoy. Another attraction is Osborne House, previously owned by Queen Victoria who used the property to escape from court life in London and Windsor. It is a place to experience and dive into the lives of the Royals and gardens which were created for their own enjoyment but now can be enjoyed by us all.Further afield you can visit the beautiful towns of Shanklin and Sandown which are on the other side of the island and can be reach in less than a 30-minute drive. The nearest ferry terminal is East Cowes, which is a 4-minute drive from the property. This property really is something for the whole family to enjoy and once you step on the ferry, this is where the holiday begins.
