Had a fantastic week staying here. The views are amazing and we were very lucky to have such amazing weather! The cottage was lovely with great facilities and a lot bigger than expected too! We would love to return when we are able to!

The cottage is situated on its own land with private driveway and uninterrupted views facing Portree and beyond to the Culllins. The sitting room/kitchen is a little bigger than I’d imagined from the photographs, the kitchen is well equipped and we were provided with fairy liquid, kitchen roll, dishwasher tabs, salt, etc which is very useful. Milk, eggs and tea cakes were also left which is a nice touch. The bedrooms are a good size and the beds are comfortable. There’s 2 shower/toilet rooms, the walk-in shower is super, very powerful and seems to have underfloor heating. We only used the storage heater in the sitting room continuously, plus a few blasts in the bedrooms 1-2 evenings. That combined with cooking most nights (oven twice) and lights gave us a bill of £34 for heating/electric. Not bad but glad it was no more and it was a mild concern having no idea how much we were racking up. Margaret came along on the last day to determine the bill and was lovely and friendly. I would definitely use the cottage again if coming back to Skye. An excellent base very close to Portree.

A great cottage with great views. Encouragement to be environmentally-friendly regarding un-used towels, however, although paying for electricity is by meter, no option to heat up as much (or as little) water as is needed. It was either heat water 24x7 (which isn't environmentally-friendly) or turn it off - no inbetween. We would have liked to heat it for a couple of hours in the morning and a couple of hours in the afternoon. Very well equiped kitchen, very comfortable stay.

We had a great holiday in a lovely cottage which has one of the best living room views out there. This is our second visit to Achachork Cottage and we're already planning our third.

Brilliant Cottage. Very well equipped and in a good location overlooking Portree Just one niggle - The upstairs w.c needs attention - Cistern 'sings' when filling up and can be really noisy in the middle of the night Everything else - great

Five of us had a lovely week in this cottage-it's very comfortable and well-equippedand the scenery and views are amazing. The only slight niggle is the size of the sink in the upstairs shower room- it's tiny, the wet room downstairs is brilliant but for 5 or 6 people two useable sinks would be better.
