Cant score local amenities as there were none, but that's the whole point of Ach Na mara.. peace and quiet. Had an extremely relaxed week, just what the doctor ordered. Picked the location for astronomy, just a shame the weather didnt play ball.

My wife and I had a wonderful week staying at Ach Na Mara. The cottage has everything you need, is clean and tidy and in a wonderful location with parking. We used it as a base for getting around Skye but also found the beach at low tide was a really fantastic walk once you get over the small rocks at the edge. And at high tide, I spent many hours fishing from the rocks with a good few fish caught. The Sauna was a treat after long days walking and warmed us up at the end of some cold days that week. And watching the sunset with the starlight roof glittering with a glass of wine couldn't be better. We didn't use the coal fire as after a few minutes the electric heaters had the room and kitchen warmed up and cosy almost straight away. and there are heaters in all the rooms but you have to pay for the electric when leaving. All in all we would recommend the cottage and will go back if we return to Skye...It's not a luxury hotel but we were more than happy with our stay.

Well equipped, homely cottage in a stunning location. Great communication with the owner. Would pay for internet in the cottage as it was tricky to get reception. On the whole a great time away from it all!

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your positive review, glad you had a good time. Landline access to the internet in this area remains limited I'm afraid. Since your stay the local phone masts have all been upgraded and 4G service is now available on the Skye. For the first time ever there is a phone signal inside the house too! The 4G roaming data now offers quick connection to the internet all manner of things.
