We love these Safari Tents, offering pure luxury glamping at it’s finest with views over the Devon Hills, it’s a real escape to the country!

These safari tents are famous, having been featured on Channel 4s Four In a Bed and have also welcomed celebrities and bloggers from around the UK who have all raved about their stays here. New for 2023 - wood-fired tubs which can be booked in advance direct with the owner.
No cold midnight wanderings to the loos or cold showers here! Our lodges have en-suite toilets and shower rooms with hot running water, proper beds and their own kitchens with wood burning stoves to keep you snug and warm. Lower Keats have thought of everything, even an additional double burner gas hob, for that early morning cuppa or cooking without the need to fire up the stove, so that all you will need to do is sit back, relax and enjoy your stay. Each Safari tent has a kingsize bed, two single beds and a double cabin bed, wood burning stove with oven (firewood provided) kitchen with hob, cool box and hot running water and en-suite bathroom with hot shower as well as a decked porch, picnic table, barbecue and fire pit.
The Hive Commual Area has been created for groups to gather, eat and relax together, sheltered from the elements. They have got it all covered, if you are staying with a group, having a party or special birthday, The Hive is perfect for using when the weather is not so good. This amazing space will get everyone together for your special occasion. The owners have thought of everything, a wheel barrow sink! and even a fire pit/barbecue that you can sit around so all you will need to do is relax and enjoy your stay with great company. Included in The Hive area is our woodburning pizza oven which is used for twice weekly pizza night’s, owner Gary’s pizzas are not to be missed! The Honesty Shop which is open all hours, has freshly baked bread and pastries still warm from the morning delivery, newly laid eggs from Lower Keats own farm hens, local milk, yoghurts, cheese, butter, jams and sausages or bacon from the home reared livestock, you really won’t ever taste anything quite as delicious for breakfast. Later in the day try the burgers or steaks or succulent beef, pork and lamb joints. They make a fantastic dinner with locally sourced artisan ice creams, even better cooked on your own woodburning stove or barbecue, and washed down with something special from our the selection of thirst quenching drinks from the Honesty Shop. Don your wellies and help tend the farm animals which provide a great source of both entertainment and education for kids (whether they are young or old). They have chickens, ducks, sheep, calves, pigs, dogs and cats on site.
Further afield you have the beaches of Lyme Regis, Charmouth and Seaton, great for fossil hunting or just a walk along the promenade! The towns of Chard and Axminster are within easy reach or head north to Bishops Lydeard and jump on the West Somerset Steam railway for a fun day out for all the family!
