Nestling on the shores of the picturesque Lough Beaghcauneen where trout fishing is available in peace and tranquillity.

This single-storey, detached cottage is ideally located close to the banks of Lough Beaghcauneen, with picture windows overlooking the lake. There are 2 bedrooms in the main cottage with an additional en-suite bedroom in a separate annex. It is ideally situated for those lazy days around the lake or sampling the locally caught fish in the many restaurants, listening to the music and enjoying the ’craic’ in the pubs, or dancing to the Irish music. You can enjoy the Connemara Pony Festival, the traditional music festival or the arts festival.
Clifden is on the Wild Atlantic Way and is home to the Alcock and Brown Atlantic crossing crash site. There are miles of tranquil beaches in the area, along with a vast network of walking tracks and cycle routes for more intrepid visitors. There are miles of unspoilt beaches in the area as well as various water sports and amenities. Trout fishing is available on the lake (licence required, available locally). Fishermen are spoiled for choice as there is river, sea and lake fishing in the area.
There are miles of looped walks and cycle routes nearby. The Twelve Bens mountain range is magnificent and very popular for hill walking with miles of routes, both gentle and challenging. Connemara Golf Links is in Ballyconneely and pony trekking and horse riding can be found at various locations in the area. Connemara National Park and Kylemore Abbey are a short scenic drive from the house and Galway city is approximately 60 miles. Beach 3 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
