We had a lovely week in this very peaceful location. We were lucky to have beautiful weather and we enjoyed great walks from the door.

We had a great week, despite the rain. It was lovely to wake up to views across the reservoir. Pateley Bridge is about a 10/15min drive and has a good selection of shops. The location is remote but we enjoyed being surrounded by fields and lambs. The cottage was well laid out, was clean and obviously been decorated recently, nice new bedding and plenty of towels. We had 2 small children with us but plenty of space for 4 adults. I can imagine went it’s warm and sunny it’s lovely to sit on the picnic bench in the court yard and have lunch/drinks with a wonderful view.

Thoroughly enjoyed my brief respite in Nidderdale. Cosy cottage, made even cosier by the darkness of the night. Unfortunately the weather wasn't particularly good (anywhere in the north) that particular week but the bats still came out and the skies were amazing when there was no cloud cover. Surrounding views were scenic and a joy to wake up to. I was baggage transferring for the 'Auld Fogies' walking week so got around quite a few of the hostelries! Food at The Crown in Middlesmoor was good and hearty and the breakfasts looked like an epicurean delight; landlord very friendly and helpful.
