Nowadays, a large part of the Stackpole Estate is cared for by the National Trust including its award-winning golden beaches of Barafundle and Broadhaven South, and the beautiful Bosherston Lily Ponds, famous for their otters, waterfowl and water lilies. Enjoy stunning walks along the cliff tops and beaches of the coastal path, or through the pretty woodlands and around the tranquil lakes of the estate. Cycle one of the only "bike-friendly" sections of the coastal path directly from the cottage (limited access to this route - please check), or enjoy fishing, water sports and horse riding locally.
    For days out without the car, the Coastal Cruiser on request bus service stops by the cottage to give access to towns, villages and the magnificent Norman castle at Pembroke, birthplace of Henry VII. The atmospheric St Govan’s Chapel nestles into a fissure in the cliffs with origins dating back to the 6th century and is 3 miles away. The Green Bridge of Wales and Stack Rocks, famed for their interesting geology and colonies of nesting seabirds are also 3 miles away.
