Tudweiliog

A small, quiet village on the Northern coast of the Llyn Peninsula, Tudweiliog is a popular holiday destination for those looking for a peaceful cottage holiday getaway.

This farming village offers easy access to three marvellous beaches and its rich history and beautiful scenery ensures there is plenty to see, do and explore.

A walk through Tudweiliog will acquaint visitors with the rich farming heritage of the village. The parish church of St Cwyfan's is the region’s most prominent landmark and it stands atop of a hill overlooking the beautiful beaches and scenic countryside in its surrounds. Built in 1849 using local stone the church is an imposingly beautiful building that deserves a visit.

The original medieval font from the church now lies on the front lawn at Cefnamlwch, along with the original stone corbels. In the graveyard visitors can pay respects to some of Tudweiliog first known inhabitants who died in 1680 and 1683 and a visit to the Coetan Arthur chambered tomb also offers fascinating insight into the region’s history.

This rural village offers plenty of attractions for those who enjoy outdoor pursuits and the rolling hills and nearby farms create a superb pastoral scene. Many of the farms are open to the public and are the perfect way to get a better understanding of the agricultural workings of this picturesque village.

Tudweiliog is a superb destination for anyone who enjoys long walks or cycles and beautiful scenery and local wildlife is in abundance. The beaches of Towyn, Penellech and Porth Ysgaden are all located nearby and visitors can enjoy swimming, diving and sailing in the waters of these delightful coastal attractions. A day spent lazing on the sand or by the river that leads down to Penellech will ensure you enjoy a slice of rural Wales at its best.
