Situated on the North Wales coast sits the seaside town of Colwyn Bay. This friendly coastal resort has lots to offers families looking for a sea and sand holiday or couples who come here for the fresh sea air.

This seaside town has a long, sweeping promenade, stretching from Penrhyn Bay to Old Colwyn, which gives easy access to the wonderful sandy beaches and harbour. Colwyn Bay is in fact home to award-winning beaches consisting of three miles of golden sand, perfect for families. And the scenic backdrop also makes it the ideal place for a leisurely stroll by the sea.

The promenade is not only made for bracing walks, fresh air and local sightseeing, but it’s also where there’s a slipway for fishing, sailing and jet skiing. The impressive Port Eirias Watersports Centre is the place to take lessons in sailing, canoe hire, windsurfing and power boating.

In town there are some lovely parks and gardens as well as places of natural beauty, such as the 50 acre Eirias Park as well as some excellent indoor facilities. If shopping is your thing, then both Colwyn Bay and nearby Rhos-on-Sea have a good range of boutiques and modern shops.

For a wild adventure, the Welsh Mountain Zoo is nearby, or if golf is more your thing, there are several golf courses in the area. Away from the coast, there are plenty of places to walk, cycle and climb and if you fancy venturing a little further afield, Llandudno is close by and Snowdonia, the Isle of Anglesey and a whole host of National Trust properties are also within reach for great days out.
