Bronheulog, meaning ‘sunny bank’ in Welsh, is a comfortable, four-bedroom, semi-detached bungalow situated in a peaceful location in a no-through lane with a cluster of houses, just a mile from the Teifi Valley town of Llandysul. There is a central, spacious living room with patio doors leading to the delightful enclosed garden, and the decked area is the perfect spot where you can have a barbecue and eat al fresco.
The town of Llandysul is steeped in history and has a small selection of shops, cafés and pubs, as well as a lovely walk leading from the 13th-century church through the park running alongside the River Teifi. The renowned Llandysul International Canoe Club in the town offers a variety of activities and is a centre for excellence for Canoe Wales. Further afield are the interesting market towns of Newcastle Emlyn and Cardigan, and the larger towns of Carmarthen and Lampeter are both within easy reach.
Bronheulog is situated about 20 minutes from some of the most spectacular coastlines in Britain, in the form of Cardigan Bay. Many beaches are dog friendly year-round. Visit delightful New Quay with picturesque its houses, pubs and restaurants; the town clings to the sides of the hills rising above the blue waters of Cardigan Bay. Often bottlenose dolphins can be spotted and in season, dolphin survey boat trips are available from the sheltered harbour or you can just enjoy the sandy beach, have an ice cream and watch the boats bobbing about.
A little further up the coast the rows of colourful painted Georgian houses in Aberaeron cluster around the stone harbour which is the focal point of the town. Here you will find an array of stylish independent shops and a huge selection of places to eat and drink, from pubs and cafés to high class bistros and restaurants and, of course, fish and chips and the famous honey ice cream. Aberaeron hosts a series of events during the season including the Festival of Welsh Ponies and Cobs, the Cardigan Bay Seafood Festival, and Mackerel Festival. Award-winning beaches and iconic harbours, charming towns and villages framed by the Cambrian Mountains make Ceredigion a wonderful area to visit; why not make Bronheulog your holiday base from which to enjoy this magnificent part of Wales? Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
