Anglesey

Anglesey’s island landscape and stunning scenery makes it a delight to explore. The coastal path is undoubtedly one of the best ways to get your bearings. This 200 kilometre trail runs almost the entire length of Anglesey, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and provides an incredible feast for the eyes.

Beaumaris Castle is possibly the most striking man-made structure you can find on the island and perhaps the ultimate testament to this incredible 13th century castle comes from the fact that so much of it is still standing today.

Equally fascinating and a stark contrast to the comfort you’ll find in a holiday cottage is Beaumaris Gaol. A sobering reminder of days gone by, the gaol makes for a fascinating visitor experience.

The view from South Stack Lighthouse comes highly recommended and if you’d like to meet some ‘locals’ there are few better ways to do it than at Foal Farm Park, a lovely open farm with views of Snowdonia.

Sparsely populated with an unspoilt landscape and a long and rich history, a break in Anglesey offers a fantastically opportunity to enjoy one of the UK’s best kept secrets. It’s a great place for walkers and cyclists, which is one of the best ways to explore and fully appreciate the island.
