A short walk over the road and through a meadow (3 acres) gives access to the loch side for fishing (permit required) or to just enjoy and relax.  Boats or canoes can be launched into the loch.  The village of Strathyre is only 2 miles and offers a shop/post office and a number of good places to eat and drink.
