At the far end of the loch is Killin and the Falls of Dochart, and a superb drive from here to the Bridge of Balgie leads to the top of Glen Lyon, the longest in Scotland. Aberfeldy (approx 12 miles) has a good choice of shops and restaurants and has a sports centre and indoor swimming-pool. For the more experienced skier, the slopes of Glenshee are a short drive away and ski hire can be arranged nearby. Excellent walking is literally on the doorstep. Open access to farmland (crops permitting) allows hill and burnside walks in abundance, and the renowned Cateran Trail passes through the area. Fishing equipment is available from the owners, and in the surrounding area golf is very well catered for, with excellent courses at Alyth and Glenisla. Some very good restaurants are within a short drive. Enjoy days touring the area with the towns of Blairgowrie and Perth close by. Shops, pub and restaurant 4 miles.
