Tigh Cleat is a former crofter’s cottage, and now boasts a welcoming and comfortable holiday home. This peaceful and tranquil place is an ideal place to ’get away from it all’. The cottage is amidst some of the most dramatic and breathtaking scenery in Skye, nestled beneath the Trotternish Ridge which features The Old Man of Storr and famous Quiraing Rock formations. This area offers some of the best walking on Skye just from your doorstep. Sartle is a crofting township where you will find sheep and cattle grazing, and hay making in the traditional ways. Staffin Bay is only a short distance away, where you can enjoy a peaceful stroll along the pristine beach overlooking the Sound of Raasay. An abundance of wildlife can be seen in the area, including eagles, fulmars, kestrels, otters, deer and so much more. Sea angling and loch fishing is also available at Staffin Bay or Storr Lochs (licence required). The Staffin Museum is a must as it contains excellent collections of local geological and fossil specimens. There is so much to discover throughout the island - visit historic sites, castles, brochs, gardens, whisky distilleries, boat trips, pony trekking, kayaking, or just come and be amazed at the dramatic scenery and seascapes.
