On arrival and departure, visitors will be ferried by Landrover across the causeway (leaving cars in the parking area at the main access point to the island).     Campbeltown is one of a handful of areas in Scotland categorised as a whisky producing region and is home to the Campbeltown Single Malt - at one point having 34 distilleries and proclaiming itself ’the whisky capital of the world’. The town boasts two distilleries as well as a museum, heritage centre and harbour, with a music festival. Another attraction in the burgh, is the recreation centre (fitness centre, swimming pool, cafe and library).
