It has the allure and ambience of a Cornish fishing village, but without the crowds!  The small winding streets, picturesque harbour and old stone cottages seem untouched by time.  It really is the quintessential seaside village and Puffin Cottage is just a stone’s throw from the water’s edge. The spectacular views, headland and bays have been the setting for a number of television programmes and the village has become a haven for artists.  Sandy beaches and rocky coves make it an ideal location for all ages. 
    The owner is also happy to provide a catering service for visitors, cooking on an ad hoc basis by prior arrangement. Even Christmas dinner can be provided; ideal for couples wishing to have a relaxing Christmas break by the sea with all the stress and strain taken care of!  A romantic retreat.

    Finzean, meaning ’the fair place’ in Gaelic, is very beautiful and has been the home of the Farquharson family for 400 years, including the twelfth Laird, Joseph Farquharson R.A., who loved this place, and made it known in artistic circles all over the world. The estate also boasts a lovely farm shop and café, where visitors can enjoy homemade cakes and tea. A diverse range of activities including walking, birdwatching, and cycling are all available.

    Garden Cottage, with its charming décor and spacious kitchen, is situated across the courtyard from Finzean House and as its name suggests, has a lovely sunny garden at the rear, ideal for enjoying the afternoon sun.
