Banff has a long and fascinating history, which today is exemplified by the many historic buildings that can be found throughout the town. One such building is the magnificent Georgian built, Duff House, which is now home to some of the most prized pieces of art in the whole of Scotland. The truly stunning garden setting in which Duff House is situated is also well worth seeing.

In easy reach of Banff, just across the River Deveron, is the former spa town of Macduff with its bustling, pretty harbour. One of the most popular attractions in Macduff is the Marine Aquarium, which has a huge open air tank as its centrepiece.

The spectacular views, headland and bays have been the setting for a number of television programmes and the village has become a haven for artists.  Sandy beaches and rocky coves make it an ideal location for all ages.
