Find cottages in Banff

The delightful seaside resort of Banff is located on the beautiful and natural Banffshire coast; providing just the perfect base for cottage holidays in Scotland and ideal for exploring this unspoilt corner of Britain.

Banff has a long and fascinating history, which today is exemplified by the many historic buildings that can be found throughout the town. One such building is the magnificent Georgian built, Duff House, which is now home to some of the most prized pieces of art in the whole of Scotland. The truly stunning garden setting in which Duff House is situated is also well worth seeing.

In easy reach of Banff, just across the River Deveron, is the former spa town of Macduff with its bustling, pretty harbour. One of the most popular attractions in Macduff is the Marine Aquarium, which has a huge open air tank as its centrepiece.

The natural beauty of the landscape around the town makes it a great choice for those who enjoy walking and cycling. There are many wonderful coastal and country routes available throughout the area, perhaps none better than the walk that which takes in the quaint fishermen’s cottages of Scotstown before reaching its beach destination at the Banff Links, where dolphins can often be spotted not too far offshore.

To enjoy some of the finest coastal scenery in all of Scotland and the historic delights of a charming seaside town, consider staying in one the many holiday cottages in Banff for your next break.
