Coastal villas and holiday homes in Campania allow an exploration of one of Italy’s most stunning and varied regions. Running from just north of Naples to the sun-kissed Amalfi coast, you can explore beautiful white painted towns and villages nestled against bright blue waters, gorgeous islands, sleepy towns and a wealth of history and heritage.
The Amalfi Coast is undoubtedly one of the region’s major attractions, not to mention the reason so many favour a coastal holiday home in Campania. Here you will find 50 kilometres of bright blue waters hugged by rugged cliffs, a winding shoreline and beautiful villages. In fact the region is so prized that has been classified a UNESCO World Heritage site for its beautiful landscape. And despite its popularity, it’s still entirely possible to find yourself alone with the sun on your skin, the sound of the sea and nothing but spectacular scenery all around. Try a walking break to explore the inlets and paths – you’ll have earned a meal in one of the many fantastic eateries, serving wonderful seafood and pasta.
More wonderful walks can be found in the National Park in Cilento. Comprised of nearly all of the region’s coast and some wonderful forests inland, you will find a host of natural beauty and some incredible views. If the region itself weren’t magical enough you will find it steeped in the myths and legends. Cilento was once a Greek settlement and played host to many philosophers – there aren’t many better places to contemplate one’s existence!
More vibrancy can be found in Salerno. This large coastal city is the cosmopolitan capital of the region and offers a wealth of cultural events and activities for all ages throughout its three distinct zones. Walking through the streets is an activity in itself, and you will find a wealth of architectural wonders to complement the activities. Salerno is also the perfect place to sample some of the region’s fantastic seafood!
