Approached via its own gated entrance and driveway, this imposing detached country house is surrounded by extensive landscaped gardens. It is situated just 2 miles from historic Cashel town, home to the iconic Rock of Cashel, one of Ireland’s most spectacular tourist attractions. There is plenty of space inside and out with two cosy living rooms, four bedrooms (three of which are en-suite), whilst outside the garden has a lavender garden, heather garden, ornamental fish pond and fountain, gazebo, summerhouse and a superb terrace with numerous seating areas in which to sit and relax. Guests also have access to the owners’ 70-acre picturesque wetland, adjacent to the property.
Cashel’s rich history is reflected in the heritage of its buildings, which range from prehistoric raths to medieval monasteries and fortified town houses, a Georgian cathedral and a 21st-century library, which holds regular exhibitions, workshops and concerts. The Georgian quarter also boasts The Bolton Library where you can find the smallest book in Ireland. Located at the foot of the historic Rock of Cashel, the Brú Ború festival takes place five nights a week throughout the summer with shows of traditional Irish music, song and dance.
