County Limerick

County Limerick is bounded in the north by the banks of the River Shannon and the estuary that forms a natural barrier between Limerick and Clare. This picturesque Irish county boasts beautiful pastoral landscapes, ringed by the majestic Galtee Mountains in the west, Ireland''s highest range. The County has a rich history dating back to the Vikings and much of this history can be found in Limerick city. When visiting drop by the 13th century King John''s Castle on the banks of the Shannon River and see St John''s Cathedral which has the tallest spire in Ireland and is still in continuous use to this day.
