5 Things you Must Do in Snowdonia

1. Walk the walls at the royal town

A visit to the royal town of Caernarfon gives you the opportunity to wander around the battlements and marvel at the stunning architecture. If you work up a princely appetite, there are lots of tempting cafés and tea houses to choose from nearby.

2. Go underground in the Copper Mines

The Sygun Copper Mine mine offers a multisensory self-guided tour that takes you back to the region’s golden (or copper!) era. Educational and fun for kids and grown-ups, there is also an on-site adventure playground and bouncy castle.

3. Explore the fairy-tale resort of Portmeirion

An absolute must for visitors to Snowdonia, the beautiful Italian-style resort of Portmeirion has a beach, colourful cottages, shops, cafes and lovely gardens and grounds to explore.

4. Enjoy the harbour town of Porthmadog

Just a mile away from Portmeirion, the buzzing harbour town of Porthmadog makes for a really beautiful and bustling place to explore. Once a powerful port, Welsh is the main language in this traditional settlement but that doesn’t prevent a very warm welcome to tourists! Visit Black Rock Sands and enjoy a ride on the brilliant Welsh Highland heritage railway to Caernarfon.

5. Fly down a mountain and bounce through the earth

Zip World’s Titan is the first zip line in Europe to allow four simultaneous riders. Once you’ve raced down the mountain side, you can enter Bounce Below for the truly unique experience of underground trampolining through brilliantly lit caverns.
