5 Best Boating Days Out in the Broads

The last thing any of us want to do on holiday is sit in the car all day, so plan some trips… and think boat!

Play skipper on a hire boat for a day or be navigated around by an expert whilst you relax and take in the sights and sounds of this watery paradise.

Norfolk is also a very dog-friendly county so no need to leave your four-legged friend behind.

Happy boating!

Broads Tours Day Boat Hire, Wroxham to Ranworth Broad

Setting off from the boatyard at Wroxham you’ll soon leave the bustle of the town behind as you navigate through rich woodland and plantlife.

Go at your own pace and stop at some of the many mooring points along the way. You’ll soon hone your parking skills! Take time to sit back and appreciate the wildlife in its natural habitat.

When you reach Ranworth Broad, pop into the floating Visitor Centre to learn more about this fascinating area.

The Canoe Man guided trail, River Bure

Book a guided canoe trail (they last about 2½ hours) and you’ll see parts of the Broads that are inaccessible by motor boat or on foot.

If you’re a Ray Mears or Bear Grylls fan the Bushcraft Canoe Trail includes a night in the open and learning survival and bushcraft skills. We recommend the more gentle Guided Canoe Trail option for all the family to have fun.
