The pool with its attractive surround is on the owners side of the building, but, is little used. The farm is set amongst the orchards and vineyards of the River Dropt Valley, just 3km from the picturesque Bastide town of Monségur with its arched colonnades, shops and cafés around the central covered market.

The nearby riverside market town of Le Bugue is just three miles away and offers restaurants, bars, a Tuesday market, shops, canoeing, kayaking, riding, tennis, aquarium and a crystal cathedral. Les Eyzies de Tayac with its National Museum of Prehistory is also close by and offers opportunities for exploring the shelters that were once home to prehistoric man. There are many water sports facilities in the area, especially at the charming village of Trémolat and in the 7-hectare park of Les Etang du Bois. The nearby pony club allows parents to accompany their children on country rides. Further afield is the historic town of Bergerac with its wine making traditions and the medieval market town of Sarlat. The whole area is steeped in historic villages, magnificent châteaux, oak and chestnut forests, fields of tobacco, maize and sunflowers.
