    Hidden away in the discreet owners grounds on the hills of Nice, this pleasant and independent villa enjoys private use of a swimming pool, which has stunning panoramic views and also a large shady terrace ideal for dining al-fresco. Previous holiday makers have arrived with the intention of discovering some of the beautiful excursions the Côte d’Azur has to offer, yet barely have left the property. Access is by a steep gravel track, but once reached it is a haven of peace and quiet with such views is difficult to leave. However it is nice to know that within a short distance one can enjoy and discover towns such as Nice (3km), Cannes (35km) and Monaco (17km). Or head inland to wander around picturesque villages such as Saint Paul and Vence. Maybe even take a trip over the Italian border. Shop, café/bar, restaurant 0.5 km, beach 6 km.

    Le Petit Village is situated at the end of a quiet country lane with sweeping panoramic views in almost every direction across the valley. A magnificent swimming pool is situated in the grounds and a picnic and barbecue area has been provided in one of the surrounding copses. There is a partially fenced wildlife pond 300 yards from the properties, children must be supervised. The nearby riverside market town of Le Bugue is just three miles away and offers restaurants, bars, a Tuesday market, shops, canoeing, kayaking, riding, tennis, aquarium and a crystal cathedral. Les Eyzies de Tayac with its National Museum of Prehistory is also close by and offers opportunities for exploring the shelters that were once home to prehistoric man. There are many water sports facilities in the area, especially at the charming village of Trémolat and in the 7-hectare park of Les Etang du Bois. The nearby pony club allows parents to accompany their children on country rides. Further afield is the historic town of Bergerac with its wine making traditions and the medieval market town of Sarlat. The whole area is steeped in historic villages, magnificent châteaux, oak and chestnut forests, fields of tobacco, maize and sunflowers.

Both offer guests tranquil accommodation amidst peaceful countryside surroundings. Maison de Lilli (F50200) peeks out from behind a hedge hiding its traditional Colombage exterior from passers-by. Inside, thoughtful detailing has guarded the spirit of the original property whilst providing a cosy yet spacious interior for guests. Although smaller than its sister property, Maison de Grâce (F50216) takes full advantage of its more compact dimensions by offering a comfortable and charmingly appointed open-plan living area and includes an elegant four-poster bed.
