Vannes is also the gateway of the Gulf of Morbihan, a beautiful and protected inner sea, sprinkled with tiny islands among which are the Ile aux Moines (Isle of Monks) and the Ile d’Arz.

If you wish to explore further afield, the seaside resort of Valras-Plage (40km) has a vast beach and casino, and is lively all year round.
