The silver mines of L’Argentière-La-Bessée, Briançon and its fortifications made by Vauban where the mysterious Man in the Iron Mask was imprisoned are not to be missed. Mont-Dauphin, the site of the Demoiselles de Théüs, around the Serre-Ponçon Lake and the Glacier of La Grave are all worth a visit.
