Located in Aveyron, with nearest shops and restaurant in Saint-Rome-de-Cernon, 3.5km and Saint-Affrique, 13km. The European centre for hang-gliding, and a Friday morning market is at Millau, 18km, which is also the home of the famous ‘Viaduc de Millau’, the highest viaduct in the world. Windsurfing is available at the Lac de Pareloup, 50km. This beautiful region of the Aveyron is characterised by rolling plateaux, underground caves and valleys. Sheep graze the plateaux and provide milk for production of Roquefort cheese. Roquefort-sur-Soulzon is 11km, with visits and tasting in the caves a must. Medieval stone villages abound, rich in the history of the Knights Templar, including the hamlet of Montclaret clinging to hilltop circled by ravines with spectacular views.
