Rochefort-du-Gard is a pleasant town with a weekly market and several historic monuments, including a 10th century chapel known as Le Castelas. Interesting places to visit nearby include the Gard Bridge (11km), the historic city of Orange (25km), famous for its Roman theatre and operatic festivals, and of course the superb shops, papal palace and old town of Avignon. For sports enthusiasts, there is a tennis court (2.5km) and a golf course (17km). Shop and restaurant 2km.
