Art lovers should head north of Paris to Auvers-sur-Oise, where Vincent Van Gogh spend the last three months of his life; it''s a great opportunity to see where he painted. A day trip to Monet''s house and gardens at Giverny is also a must - see Monet''s lily pond in the grounds of his home then head to the Musee des Impressionismes.

Of course Paris itself has plenty to delight visitors.
