The Dordogne is located in south west France inland from the Gironde estuary and has long been a prized holiday destination for British holiday makers. They come here for its slow, relaxed pace of life, pretty country towns and old villages, ancient castles and utterly beautiful and varied rural scenery. The Dordogne is home to a number of fortified medieval towns.     This holiday village is just a short walk from the centre of the medieval riverside market town of Montignac. Montignac is famous for the Grottes des Lascaux. An international festival of music and dance is held in the town at the end of July.
