If peace and tranquillity are on your agenda, this detached 18th century mill is a good choice for you. It is located at the end of a gravel track and the only noise you are likely to hear is the sound of the stream which runs through the grounds and the local farmers moving their animals from one field to another. The style and character of the holiday property are what you might expect of the period, oak beams, exposed stone walls and a large feature fireplace, complemented with modern decor and furniture. The extensive garden areas are mainly lawned and bordered by mature trees, there is a covered terrace area adjacent to the private swimming pool, available June to September. When you’ve taken the time to relax and unwind and decide to take day trips in the region, you’ll find the town of Pau to the east, many British people came to Pau in the 19th century and created the first golf course and cricket club in France. A similar distance to the west are the ‘chic’ resorts of the Atlantic Ocean, including Biarritz, St Jean de Luz, and Hendaye which is close to the Spanish Border. The nearest town is St Palais where there are shops and restaurants. Fly via Pau or Biarritz. Shop, café/bar and restaurant 5km.
