Holiday cottages in England need little introduction. Also on the promenade is Saltburn’s famous pier, the most northerly surviving pier in Britain, which has also been known as the main target of the knitting craze known as ’Yarn Bombing’. Both of which are perfect for a leisurely stroll on a fine evening, or sunny afternoon. There are lots of activities in Saltburn including surfing, fishing, golf and swimming. You can also enjoy horse riding by taking a trek across the beach. The historic town of Whitby is definitely worth a day out; you can sample its famous fish and chips or visit the stunning Abbey! It can be accessed both by car, and from the pretty cobbled streets in the old town via the famous 199 steps.
