A trip to Bolton Castle is a must for families and offers a packed activity schedule incorporates everything from bird of prey demonstrations to a chance to take part in traditional craft making. If you have an interest in the history of the area, make sure you pop down to the Dales Countryside Museum, where you will be fascinated by a variety of thoughtful, interactive displays that tell the fascinating story of the local landscape and the people that inhabit it.
