Hawes is a charming market town located in beautiful Wensleydale, in the heart of the Dales. This traditional Dales town has all the facilities you will need and from its elevated position you’re guaranteed spectacular views across the fells and moors, ensuring that it is, quite justifiably, one of the most popular destinations within the famed Yorkshire Dales National Park.

A highlight in the town calendar is the weekly street market, where you will find a fantastic range of gift and food stalls, including ones that sell the town’s speciality, delicious Wensleydale cheese; the Wensleydale Creamery is close by and a popular visitor attraction.

Several streets of quirky shops and boutiques provide the perfect place to browse for gifts and souvenirs, and there is no shortage of fabulous cafes and restaurants, serving everything from traditional Yorkshire cakes and biscuits to exquisite three course meals.

A trip to Bolton Castle is a must for families and offers a packed activity schedule incorporates everything from bird of prey demonstrations to a chance to take part in traditional craft making.
