The historic city of York is less than an hour’s drive away, where you can see the famous minster and the Shambles. Why not visit the North Yorkshire Moors and catch the steam train from Pickering to Whitby stopping off at Goathland, the setting of the fictional village ‘Aidensfield’ in the popular TV series ‘Heartbeat’.
