    The modern kitchen is fully equipped and opens into a large dining area, complete with a TV, hearth, wood burning stove and comfy chairs to relax in front of the fire after a long day!
    There are two washrooms: a new shower/ wc on the ground floor and a shower/bath/wc on the first floor. The bedrooms (one double, two twins) are light and airy, with big windows and ample storage. The master bedroom in particular has spectacular views across the Dales towards the impressive Nappa Scar.

    Grisedale feels like a very remote place but is only 10 minutes from Garsdale Station, on the Leeds-Settle-Carlisle line. Leeds has Victorian shopping arcades and Grand Theatre, home to Opera North and the Northern ballet. The border city of Carlisle has its castle and cathedral.

    Walkers can explore Baugh Fell, Swarth Fell and Wild Boar Fell from the doorstep. The Pennine Way and the Dales Way pass nearby. Cyclists can enjoy the quiet roads, and the route through the Dales taken by the 2014 Tour De France. The lively town of Hawes, with its Tuesday market, the Wensleydale Creamery, the Ropeworks and the Dales Museum, has long established shops, cafes and pubs.

    Sedbergh, the popular ’book town’, and Dent, with its cobbles streets, Meditation Centre and Heritage Museum, are each 30 minutes away. To the north is Kirkby Stephen, a Westmorland town of red sandstone on the edge of the Eden Valley, where there are attractive ancient villages to discover.
