With two bedrooms upstairs, both with their own ensuite bathroom facility, the cottage can accommodate up to four guests, with a shower room on the ground floor a handy additional facility. The lounge with wood burner offers a cosy place to unwind at the end of the day, or you might prefer to relax in the reading area in the separate dining room, and the kitchen is well equipped with everything required for self catering. A beautiful lawned garden to the rear is enclosed and secluded, perfect for a summer’s afternoon. A shed is also available for those wishing to take advantage of the quiet roads and bring their own bicycles.
Snape village has a pub serving food, an excellent farm shop, a pretty beck running through it, and even a castle, dating from 1426 once the home of Henry VIII’s last, and surviving, wife Katherine Parr. For those with an interest in nature, Thorpe Perrow Arboretum is a short distance away. The Georgian market town of Bedale is around 3 miles away and offers a wide selection of shops, tea rooms and pubs along with the town of Masham, which has two breweries to explore and holds various seasonal events. Excellent footpath walks and cycle routes can be discovered in the area, with the heart of the National Park easily accessed. A delightful cottage in an area with something for everyone.
