The craft centre at Helmside and just 100 yards from Helm Byre, offers a collection of goods produced by local Dales folk, everything from watercolours and prints to walking sticks and pottery, ideal souvenirs of your stay.
    Helm Byre, Helm Knott and the adjoining Farmhouse date back to the 17th century and display a wealth of original features to remind you of its ancient past, by way of exposed beams, flagged floors and even the odd piece of farming ironmongery or two. Every possible facility has been provided, from Broadband internet access and full Sky package to the sumptuous beds and mattresses - carefully chosen to ensure a good night’s rest. The orchard garden (shared with the other two cottages next door) is fully enclosed, the trees providing plenty of shade in warmer weather and the grounds enable you to get even closer to the stunning views of the Dales that are literally on your door step, beckoning walkers of all abilities to get out and explore. All three cottages can be booked together to cater for a party of up to 20.
