    Ref: 23778

Far from the madding crowd, this delightfully cosy holiday cottage is one of only a handful of buildings in the beautiful and unique moorland landscape of Grisedale, in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. Built in 1666 with low beams and latch doors, it has wonderful open views from the south-facing garden. The area is a real paradise for bird watchers, with many species of owl and other birds of prey being found in Grisedale, along with ground nesting birds (skylark, curlew, oystercatcher, lapwing and red grouse). The cottage is located close to the Yorkshire Dales famous 3 Peaks walk, with 2 of the 3 peaks visible from the garden. It is also near the 2014 Tour de France route, allowing visitors to experience the spectacular scenery and follow in the trail of some true cycling legends.
