Boasting a wealth of original features, they enjoy shared use of a rich choice of leisure facilities, including a superb indoor heated swimming pool in an adjacent, purpose-designed building. Ref: W44351

The Park is a secret huddle of distinctively chic holiday properties, hidden in a tranquil valley garden just yards from a stunning beach on the north Cornwall coast. No two holiday homes are the same at this holiday park, with stylish lodges and cosy cottages which are all nestled in 27 acres of tranquil grounds. Some of these have private terraces with hot tubs, many have enclosed garden spaces. Most of the homes are dog-friendly, as is the beach, no matter what time of year you come and stay. You can swim in one of our two swimming pools, let off steam in the spa, or lounge in the café. There’s also a children’s play area, table tennis and a DVD library. The Park grounds offer sun traps, hidden pathways and fruit and herb gardens which guests are invited to sample. Next to the café is the heated indoor pool, sauna and steam room. Outside, you’ll find another heated pool in a south-facing garden setting with views across the valley, complete with a bar serving food and drinks throughout the summer.

If you’re looking for adventure, take a stroll along north Cornwall’s breath-taking coastal paths, beaches and cliffs. For something more extreme, learn to surf at a surf school on Mawgan Porth Beach, or maybe try kite surfing at Watergate Bay, just two miles down the coast. If your food supplies are running low, pick up some holiday essentials at the convenience store in Mawgan Porth Village, or dine at Jamie Oliver’s ’Fifteen’ restaurant at Watergate Bay, or Rick Stein’s Seafood Café at Padstow.

Cornwall has plenty of family attractions, and is also well-known for arts, culture, history, heritage, gardens, food, drink, film, TV and literature. Beaches in the local area, Watergate Bay, and the surf beaches of Newquay, lie within five miles along the coast road southwards, and the seven bays and beaches of St Merryn and Padstow are 10 miles to the north. Further afield, the beaches of Marazion, St Ives, Sennen, Kynance Cove, Falmouth, Perranporth and Porthcurno are among the top ten in the county (according to the Cornwall Guide). Even if the weather is poor, do what the locals do - wrap up warm, take a brisk walk in the wind, watch the waves crash on the rocks and let the Cornish sea air blow the cobwebs away!

Other attractions including the educational Eden Project and Healey’s Cornish Cyder Farm, are not far away. Cornwall is steeped in myths, legends and folklore, from ‘piskies’ and ’faeries’ to kings and castles. Cornwall’s 50-plus gardens all enjoy the warmth of the Gulf Stream, which means that many are home to rare tropical plants, flowers and trees. There are gardens of different scales in Cornwall, from the small and unusual to the large and more famous. Beach 300 yards. Shop and pub 250 yards, restaurant on-site.

All on ground floor: Living/dining room with patio doors/kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 1 double with en-suite shower room and toilet, 1 twin. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

The grounds include an ancient stone row, 5 acres of rough moorland, two ponds and a tumbling stream.
Lower Elsford is bordered to the west by Woodland Trust and Dartmoor National Park Woods. Indigenous oak trees are covered with lichen, demonstrating the purity of the air; whilst water is provided by the farm’s own natural Dartmoor spring. Dating back to the 13th century these charming holiday cottages occupy a peaceful location, and command views over the owners’ 250-acre working Charolais beef farm, bordered by the River Teign on the edge of the village of Teigngrace. This lovely and popular part of South Devon has much to offer with glorious beaches, meandering estuaries and some very pretty countryside. Also within easy striking distance is the rugged expanse of Dartmoor, its wild beauty changing colour with the varying seasons, its picturesque villages, Dartmoor ponies and Tors. Walnut Cottage (ref 26729) and Oakapple Cottage (ref 26721) are barn conversions offering comfortable holiday accommodation. Acorn Cottage (ref 25544) and Oak Leaves (ref 25560) were originally farm buildings and have since been carefully converted into two spacious and very comfortable holiday cottages. Side by side each has its own patio. The Farmhouse (ref 25545) was the original farmhouse since 1640 and this now has been tastefully converted for use as a holiday cottage. Apple Blossom Cottage (ref 25546) is the original building, built in the 13th century and was in later years the kitchen for the farmhouse; now it has been tastefully converted to form a very comfortable holiday home. The owners will be delighted to show children around the farm and are always on hand to tell guests of the many attractions this lovely area has to offer. There are also chickens wandering around the farm, look out for the eggs. There is also a designated dog walking area, set in half an acre. Situated close to the owners caravan park, but retaining their privacy, all of the cottages have use of the heated outdoor swimming pool, there are also 2 coarse fishing lakes, (must have own licence or purchase a day ticket).
