Sussex

Home to some of the UK’s most stunning countryside and coastal landscape, Sussex is a highly popular holiday region and explains why we have so many lovely coastal cottages embedded right at the heart of it.

One thing you can’t miss in Sussex is a visit to Hastings. A beautiful coastal cottage in this seafaring town provides a perfect base for exploring the town’s history and the world famous Battle of Hasting site. Tour the historic Fisherman’s museum and the ancient castle; pay a visit to the exciting Blue Reef aquarium or fantastic fish market.

Beyond Hastings, treat yourself to a seaside cottage in the coastal market town of Rye. Perched on top of a hill and renowned for its fantastic eateries, explore its weekly market along the strand selling local produce. Walk, drive or bike along the miles of picturesque coastline, featuring an abundance of wildlife, birds and flowers.

For a relaxing seaside break, stay in a sea view cottage in Eastbourne. Here you will find award winning beaches bustling with entertainment making it an ideal family seaside resort. Take a leisurely boat trip to Beachy Head Lighthouse, enjoy some local food in a cosy traditional pub or meander along the pier where firework displays and regular performances take place. Further in town experience green lush gardens and parks, and relax in friendly quaint tearooms.

Continue to explore the magnificent seafront scenery with a coastal cottage in the traditional seaside town of Bognor Regis. With strong fishing routes this old little town features a fabulous sandy beach, historic pier which is home to breath-taking sea views during sun set, and wonderful heritage sites including a Hotham Park Gardens, miniature railway and museum. Have a drink in a seafront bar, take a stroll along the promenade or drive in land and enjoy a long leisurely walk in the beautiful South Downs National Park.
