Find cottages in Southwold

Southwold is the quintessential seaside resort with a lovely beach, colourful beach huts and quirky pier; just perfect for a cottage holiday.

It’s easy to see why when you take in the timeless charm of this village, its imposing 15th century church, boutique shops and well-kept houses. It also has more than its fair share of excellent places to eat including award-winning pubs, delis and restaurants. Seek out a bargain in Southwold’s many antique, curio and gift shops.

Take a stroll on the iconic Southwold Pier, with its collection of vintage slot machines, and make time to see the famous Performing Water Clock with its tower of quirky abstract figures or just a hop away is the Adnam’s brewery, where the highly-recommended guided tour includes a tasting of some of its legendary beers and a bottle to take home too.

Don’t worry if you get the feeling you’ve seen Southwold before as you probably have! It’s a favourite location spot for TV and movie companies as well as featuring on many an artist’s canvas.

If you’re really lucky, you might find a piece of real local amber on the beach but don’t worry if you don’t, there’s plenty on sale in the village too; to see for yourself and for accommodation start searching for Southwold Holiday Cottages.
