The popular Blue Flag beaches of Lowestoft and Gorleston are close by, and further afield, picturesque drives lead into the Suffolk and Norfolk countryside with its many excellent gastro pubs, and to the Suffolk Heritage Coast including Southwold, Walberswick and Aldeburgh.
