Set in 137 acres of private park and woodland, this stunning Grade II listed Victorian water tower is the tallest building on the Staffordshire Moorlands. The tower, which is constructed from red brick and stone, dates back to 1896 and was transformed in 2006 to provide accommodation over 8 storeys. The Water Tower effortlessly combines character and original features with the latest technology and conveniences including free wi-fi, and a built-in Bang and Olufsen music system which can be played in several areas in the house. There is a spacious, well-equipped kitchen and two living rooms, one of which is on the 8th floor and has stunning 360-degree views of the surrounding Staffordshire countryside. The games room is located on the 7th floor and, apart from its full size snooker table and darts room, also has an attached kitchenette with fridge and microwave, which again will save having to walk down several storeys to the main kitchen. Most of the bedrooms are en suite and the master bedroom also has TV and DVD with surround sound system. The spa-like family bathroom has twin wash basins, a free-standing tub and a double walk-in shower. There is also an intercom system throughout the tower which is very handy given all the stairs! Accessible for both the Staffordshire Moorlands and Peak District National Park, this holiday property is an ideal base for those who love the great outdoors. There are lots of great walks from the doorstep, including walks along the canal paths. Cyclists and mountain bikers are also well catered for and climbers will enjoy the famous Roaches, which are just a 10-minute drive away. Water sports are available at Rudyard Lake and Tittesworth Reservoir, which are both within a short drive. Located in Cheddleton, the property is just 2½ miles from the popular market town of Leek, which has a good range of shops, supermarkets, eateries and antique shops. Other places of interest within easy reach are Churnet Valley Steam Railway (2 miles), Alton Towers (12 miles), Manifold Valley (15 miles), Buxton (16 miles), The Potteries at Stoke-on-Trent (9 miles) and Macclesfield (16 miles).
